Natan Zach

was born in Berlin. For a long time, he was attached to the University of Tel Aviv. He then stayed in England for a considerable time, before teaching literature in Haifa. Zach had his poetic debut in 1955, but has also become known as an essayist, dramatist and translator. He has, among other thing, translated plays by Friedrich Dürrenmatt and Bertold Brecht.

Unfortunately mr. Natan Zach cancelled his presence at the 39th Poetry International Festival.
